HTC Evo 3D in the making

The latest blockbuster by HTC looks stunning and get the magic of 3D too.

After LG Optimus 3D, HTC Evo 3D becomes the second Android smartphone to be launched with a three dimension display.
It features the newer Snapdragon MSM 8660 chip set which includes a 1.2 GHz processor and Adreno 220 dedicated graphics engine. 1GB of RAM has been added to aid fluid interface and functioning on this device, which has 4GB of internal storage and a SD card slot that can support up to 32GB of memory.
The 4.3 inch display has a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and has a stereoscopic 3D video reproduction system that allows the users to enjoy 3D videos and images without having to wear glasses. Stereoscopic displays work on the principal of transmitting different images to both eyes due to which 3D vision becomes possible.
The phone's camera allows it to capture 3D videos and Images. The 3D camera is a combination of two 5 megapixel cameras, which capture an image simultaneously to add extra detail and depth to it for a 3D effect. Pictures can be taken in a 2D mode, with the use of a single camera, for normal images.
The Evo 3D is a 4G only device but for countries with 3.5G, HTC is expected to announce a 3.5G GSM version soon after the launch of the device in the USA first where the company has tied up with Sprint.
The launch date, although not announced by HTC officially, is expected to be within the second quarter of the year 2011 considering that other handset makers, like LG, are also planning to launch similar devices soon.
